Senior Legal Counsel Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to provide expert, commercially focused legal advice and play a key role in protecting our interests while supporting growth across the business.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Drafting, negotiating and managing a wide range of contracts including services agreements, procurement and construction contracts, M&A documentation and leases
  • Delivering clear and strategic legal advice to senior stakeholders with a focus on practical solutions
  • Supporting business growth by managing internal and external legal workstreams, transactions and tenders
  • Enhancing legal risk and governance processes and ensuring compliance with regulations and tender obligations
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Australian practising certificate with at least 5 years' PQE from a top or mid-tier law firm
  • Commercially minded, solutions-oriented and experienced in advising across diverse legal areas
  • Strong judgement, integrity, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience working on complex commercial matters, ideally with exposure to M&A, infrastructure, projects or energy
