Mine Operations Manager

Maxwell Underground Mine is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead a team of Superintendents, deliver systems of work and resources required to meet production objectives, and support the safe and efficient operation of the mine.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the onboarding and training of new underground workforce, including Undermanagers, Deputies, Operators, etc. They will also be responsible for managing oversight of longwall, development, and outbye areas, developing and implementing operating systems, and managing performance targets and plans aligned with Maxwell Underground Mine's site production requirements.
Additionally, they will build and maintain cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders to support the delivery of production, drive performance across the underground operation, and ensure operational employees in Production are competent and motivated to perform their roles efficiently and effectively.
As an ideal candidate, they will have a NSW Undermanager Certificate of Competency and Practising Certificate and/or tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering field, sound knowledge of underground mining processes, practical knowledge of mining equipment, sound planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills, strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, demonstrated ability to meet production objectives, and excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
