Job Description

The Research Support Specialist will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a major socio-legal research program focused on understanding and addressing legal barriers to testing and treatment for individuals living with HIV or Hepatitis B.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting qualitative research, including interviewing people living with these conditions who are migrants or non-citizens, and analyzing the data collected. This will involve working closely with the research team to ensure the effective delivery of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting qualitative interviews with participants
  • Analyzing data and preparing reports
  • Assisting with literature searches and reviews
  • Drafting research documentation and analysis
  • Preparing scholarly publications

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to exercise sound judgement, initiative and discretion in all dealings
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
  • Proven ability to undertake research-related tasks, preferably with experience in qualitative research
