Job Summary

Sedgman is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing contract deliverables, providing timely and accurate advice to the Project Manager regarding head contract rights, obligations and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management

    The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance on contract management, ensuring seamless coordination of provision/return of security, evidence of insurance, etc.

  • Procurement and Subcontract Management

    They will assist in preparing subcontract tenders, participate in negotiation of subcontracts and coordinate strategy for disputed claims.

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (preferably Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Law).

  • 5-10 years' experience in a similar position on a multi-disciplined construction project working in or alongside Contracts, Procurement and Construction teams.

  • Practical working knowledge of construction contract law and relevant legislation.

  • Ability to negotiate and make sound commercial and contractual decisions.
