Procurement Specialist

Job Overview:

As a key member of our procurement team, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating purchasing activities across various departments. This role requires a strong understanding of company policies and procedures to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the purchasing process for goods, materials, and services within established parameters.
  • Ensure all procurements meet specified requirements in terms of quantity, quality, and delivery dates.
  • Manage the weekly ordering cycle to guarantee timely placement of orders according to Port requirements.
  • Prepare, approve, and enter purchase orders into our Airline Catering system.
  • Verify that all ordered goods are delivered in accordance with purchase order due dates within our ERP system, addressing overdue orders and expediting as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with Port Managers to meet delivery and quality targets.
  • Maintain accurate records and files for efficient operation.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the Head of Procurement/Category Managers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Approximately 3 years of experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain environments within the food service/hospitality sector.
  • Preferably with a background in the Food and Beverage industry.
  • Experience in FMCG or Catering industries is highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically EXCEL, WORD, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with an ERP system is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
  • Tertiary education is highly desirable.
