Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Specialist to join our Prevention of Violence and Aggression Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to lead the development and implementation of behaviour support plans, working collaboratively with clinical teams to reduce aggression and promote a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of behaviour support strategies;
  • Provide education and training to staff on de-escalation techniques and behaviour management principles;
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies and procedures related to aggression and behaviour management;
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour support plans and make recommendations for improvement;

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification and postgraduate qualification aligned to position description;
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health, emergency or behavioural management, complex clinical conditions;
  • Current registration or endorsement for your discipline (e.g. AHPRA, AASW);
  • A relevant qualification in training or education would be well regarded;
  • Australian working rights;
