Project Manager

About the role:

You will play a pivotal part in overseeing the successful delivery of construction and fitout projects. Reporting back to management, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating with production foremen and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This full-time position requires regular site attendance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all on-site construction activities and managing workflow to meet project timelines and milestones.
  • Coordinating and supervising subcontractor installers and associated trades to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Identifying and resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process and reporting these back to relevant personnel.
  • Conducting regular site inspections and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards expected.
  • Maintaining clear and effective communication with clients, project stakeholders, and the wider project team.
  • Preparing progress reports and updating project schedules as required.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Supervisor or Project Manager in the cabinetmaking and construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of cabinetmaking and fitout methods, materials, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage and coordinate multiple subcontractors and trades.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, stakeholders, and the project team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, overtime when required.
  • Computer literate with ability to update assisting programs and apps.
