Special Education Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with diverse learning needs
  • Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations to students with a range of learning disabilities and developmental delays
  • Assess and evaluate student progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies as needed to ensure academic success
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, counsellors, and other specialists to create and implement effective support strategies
  • Participate in professional development activities and stay current on best practices in special education, including laws and regulations

Key Requirements:
  • At least 1 full year of post-qualified classroom-based teaching experience working with students of variable special requirements
  • Eligibility for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
  • Education transcripts can be provided when required
  • Be able to provide contact details for two education-based referees from the last 2 years (student teacher mentors are acceptable)
