Job Title: Long-Term Substitute Teacher, Special Education

Provide exceptional educational support to students with disabilities as a long-term substitute teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction and support services to students with special needs
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers to ensure cohesive student outcomes
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
  • Contribute to the development of personalized education plans (IEPs)

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in special education or a related field
  • Demonstrate fluency in learning theory, differentiated instruction, and assessment methods
  • Possess experience in student teaching or equivalent experience working with students with special needs
  • Certification in a relevant area is highly desirable

Physical Demands: Comply with the physical demands outlined by job duties.

Special Requirements: Attend school events, meetings, and programs outside regular instructional hours as stipulated by the collective bargaining agreement.
