Home Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Home Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing personal care assistance and support to clients and their caregivers/families to promote and maximize independence in the home setting.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care assistance and support to clients, including assistance with activities of daily living and delegated tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health care team to promote client well-being and independence.
  • Travel may be required for this position, and transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements.
Requirements:
  • A Home Support/Resident Care Attendant/Health Care Assistant Certificate from a recognized post-secondary program, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • A valid Food Safe Certificate and BC driver's license.
  • Current registration and good standing with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
Skills and Abilities:
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.

This is a regular full-time position that includes servicing Port Renfrew. The successful candidate will have awareness of the location of clients in Port Renfrew.
