About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work with children and their families to promote independence, enhance development, and support participation in daily activities through tailored interventions.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy plans that cater to the unique needs of each child.
  • Deliver engaging, goal-oriented therapy sessions that foster a sense of accomplishment and confidence in young people.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and educators to provide holistic support and ensure seamless communication throughout the child's journey.
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records in line with professional standards, ensuring transparency and accountability in our service delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to service development initiatives that drive innovation and excellence in occupational therapy practices.
  • Advocate for young people's rights to accessible, effective support and empower them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA, ensuring expertise in evidence-based practice and adherence to industry standards.
  • A strong understanding of mental health challenges affecting young people, enabling effective assessment and intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including children, families, and educators.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and emerging trends in occupational therapy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex cases with a person-centered approach, prioritizing the unique needs of each child.
  • A valid Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and the right to work in Australia, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
