Job Description

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee their Mechanical Engineering team. The team focuses on specialized electromechanical equipment, including starters and generators.

The successful candidate will lead mechanical design and development, execute critical projects, provide technical direction, and collaborate with multiple departments to support new product development, research efforts, and proposal activities.

The ideal candidate will have approximately 10 years of experience in product design and manufacturing, as well as at least 2 years managing engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project execution and communicate progress and risks to senior leadership
  • Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and manufacturability standards
  • Manage multiple product lines across various mechanical disciplines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, testing, supply chain, and quality
  • Handle team resource planning, recruitment, training, and development
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support market success
  • Identify technology gaps and develop innovation roadmaps
  • Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to best practices
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Strong leadership, communication, and technical problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in GD&T and core mechanical engineering principles
