Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team at Qantas Group. As a key member of our Regional Safety Advisory Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and oversee safety strategies and policies for the Qantas Group regional business areas.
- Collaborate with safety advisors to ensure regulatory compliance and delivery of a proactive safety culture across the Qantas team.
- Manage the development and implementation of safety data and analytical support, as well as risk management processes and record keeping.
- Provide safety data and analytical support to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration on safety-related matters.
- Diploma or Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a Safety Coordination position, ideally within an operational environment.
- Sound understanding and application of WHS legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction from others.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and present data.
- Ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to show initiative and flexibility.
