Homelessness Support Specialist

At the forefront of crisis response, this dedicated role involves offering immediate support, guidance and access to safe, affordable accommodation for individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

This permanent full-time position is based in Melbourne and requires a passionate individual who can provide person-centred assessments and help clients access essential housing options.

The successful candidate will connect clients to support services, community resources and a wider network, developing action and safety plans that address immediate risks and vulnerabilities.

Key responsibilities include providing trauma-informed, strengths-based support tailored to those with complex needs, as well as collaborating with dedicated professionals who share a vision for a just and inclusive society.

Requirements include compassion and resilience, experience working with individuals who present with complex needs, strong communication skills and confidence in building collaborative relationships with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders.

Alignment with values of integrity, compassion, respect, diversity and collaboration is essential, along with a relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Welfare or a related field or significant relevant experience.
