We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team as a Crisis Intervention Worker.

\

This role provides rapid crisis intervention and interim support to individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The successful candidate will work with clients to develop support plans, provide housing information, and link them into community supports and programs.

\Key Responsibilities\
  • Provide quality assessment, referral, and housing information to individuals in need.\
  • Develop support, action, or safety plans to respond to client needs, risks, and vulnerabilities.\
  • Provide interim support, including meetings, coaching, housing applications, and referrals.\
  • Link clients into community supports and programs.\
  • Work collaboratively with other programs to provide an integrated support response.
\About You\

You will be passionate about making a difference for people experiencing homelessness and thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Welfare, or a related field; or significant relevant experience.\
  • Experience working with people with multiple and complex needs.\
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.\
  • The ability to navigate services and complete housing applications.\
