Service Profile
The Homelessness Melbourne Metro region is a large Homelessness provider in the inner city of Melbourne and provides a comprehensive range of residential & community services across seven sites in St Kilda, Footscray, North Melbourne, West Melbourne, Kensington, and Fitzroy.
Community programs include the Crisis Contact Centre, Community Outreach Services for single adults, support for older people in public housing, rough sleeper & street sleeping initiatives, community participation and AOD support.
Residential services operate from Foley House in Footscray, the Open Door in North Melbourne and Flagstaff in West Melbourne.
Homelessness Melbourne Metro is supported by co-located services including the TSA Chaplaincy program, Bolton Clarke primary health service and NDIS support coordination.
Foley House provides long-term residential support to 45 single men experiencing homelessness and a disability, with a history of trauma, disadvantage, mental health, and chronic health issues in Footscray.
The aim of Foley House is to maximise each client's independence through person centred and capacity building approaches to service delivery. The program's focus is to assist residents maintain good health, improve well-being and develop capability on a pathway towards reaching their personal potential.
About the role
The Foley House Care Coordinator is part of a regional leadership team that works closely with:
- Residential Community Support Services
- Case Management Services
- Crisis Support Services
- Business Administration
We are committed to working with the most disadvantaged, marginalised and complex members of our community to support them in recovering from their experience of trauma and homelessness.
We are looking for an inspirational leader:
- That can lead cultural and programmatic change
- Is passionate about social justice and ending homelessness
- Experienced in high quality service delivery and creating high functioning teams
As a Care Coordinator with the Salvos, you will enjoy:

What we're looking for

- Advanced communication, written & organisational skills
- Ability to ensure service delivery outcomes meet the required target
- Strong AOD practitioner experience
- Minimum Diploma level in relevant field, or above
- Ability to manage crisis situations
