Job Overview

The successful candidate will oversee a team of skilled tradespeople in a workshop environment, managing planned works, workforce, and materials for scheduled, unscheduled, and emerging tasks. This includes assisting with rosters, job activities, and minimizing delays and costs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing planned works, workshop labour, and resources
  • Assisting with work schedules and task management
  • Ensuring accurate and detailed information for scoping and estimating project costs and timelines
  • Reviewing completed tasks
  • Completing necessary timesheets
  • Attending meetings to resolve or report issues and progress related to the work

The ideal candidate will possess a qualification in engineering or a trade discipline, minimum experience of 5 years in the steel or similar industry, sound supervisory and leadership skills, and a strong understanding of recognized service facility inspection and repair processes.
