Senior Solar Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Senior Solar Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solar projects while maintaining a collaborative and supportive work environment.

  • Create approval drawings, IFC drawings, and as-built documentation for systems between 50kW – 2MW.
  • Evaluate interval data to suggest engineering solutions to reduce energy consumption.
  • Calculate energy output and conduct technical analysis on proposed solutions.
  • Perform shading analysis for the solar systems.
  • Prepare grid applications and liaise with DNSP for approval.
  • Coordinate with structural engineers for design approval.
  • Diagnose and fix technical issues.
  • Research new products and solutions to stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and installers for technical clarification.
  • Mentor junior engineers to help them reach their full potential.
  • Support project management and delivery teams by setting KPIs and distributing workload among team members.
  • Conduct site visits as required.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVSyst, SketchUp, and MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of interpreting architectural drawings, SLD's, Electrical Layouts.
  • Strong design language skills.
  • CEC accreditation.
  • Familiarity with Australian Standards 3000, 4777, 5033.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced communication skills.
