Solar Systems Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Solar Systems Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for solar PV solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and engineer electrical systems for rooftop, ground-mounted and hybrid/off-grid solar PV solutions.
  • Perform electrical load calculations and analyze energy consumption data to design systems that meet client requirements.
  • Create detailed technical documentation for project execution and procurement.
  • Conduct electrical simulations and feasibility studies on existing solar installations to maximize system efficiency and performance.
  • Generate comprehensive Work Orders for installers, including voltage rise calculations and single line diagrams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of Australian proven experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-channel digital marketing campaigns and deliver measurable results.
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • Minimum bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
    • SAA design accreditation for grid connected solar PV systems.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and PVSyst software.
    • In-depth knowledge of electrical and structural engineering principles as applied to solar energy systems.
    • Familiarity with local permitting processes and building codes related to solar installations.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a diverse team environment.
