Role Description:
Elevate your customer service experience to support injured workers by providing exceptional care and guidance throughout their return-to-work journey. This role sits within a team managing caseloads of worker's compensation claims who have experienced a Whole Person Impairment (WPI) within South Australian legislation and compliance guidelines.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for proactively and effectively managing all aspects of caseloads, ensuring case management is in accordance with SA legislation and compliance guidelines. You will help make a positive impact on someone's life every day.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide workers compensation advice to stakeholders such as workers, employers, and providers.
- Deliver personalized face-to-face assistance to workers and employers.
- Conduct community-based visits, including work sites or medical clinics, on initial triage of a claim and at significant milestones during the life of a claim.
- Ensure case management is in accordance with SA legislation and compliance guidelines.
- Proactively manage rehabilitation providers and approval of rehabilitation plans in accordance with agreed department and Return to Work SA standards.
Requirements:
- No prior knowledge of relevant worker's compensation legislation and regulations is required, but it would be beneficial.
- A basic understanding of medical terminology would be advantageous.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Sound negotiation and influencing skills.
- Empathy and understanding for others.
- The ability to effectively listen and understand the needs of the customer and what is important to them to enable their recovery and return to work.
