Claims Management Specialist

We’re seeking an experienced Claims Management Specialist to join our team, who can combine technical insurance knowledge with empathy and sound judgment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Proactively manage claims end-to-end, analysing policy terms and applying sound judgement.
  • Communicate confidently and empathetically with assessors, builders, brokers, and strata managers.
  • Navigate escalations and high-value decisions with care.
  • Select and coordinate service providers – working with assessors, builders, legal experts, and more.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to improve claims outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Claims End-to-End Management

The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively managing claims from initiation to resolution. This includes analysing policy terms, assessing claimant information, and making informed decisions on claims progression.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement

The successful candidate will be required to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including assessors, builders, brokers, and strata managers. They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to navigate complex stakeholder relationships.

Escalation and Decision-Making

The successful candidate will be responsible for navigating escalations and high-value decisions with care. They must be able to weigh competing priorities and make informed decisions that align with organisational objectives.

Service Provider Coordination

The successful candidate will be required to select and coordinate service providers to support the claims process. This includes working with assessors, builders, legal experts, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution of claims.

Continuous Improvement

The successful candidate will be expected to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in claims outcomes. They must be able to analyse data, identify trends, and implement strategies to enhance claims management practices.

Requirements

Successful candidates will be motivated professionals with a strong foundation in claims management. They must possess excellent communication skills, a curious mindset, and a drive for continuous improvement.

Prior Experience

Prior experience managing property claims or loss adjusting is highly valued. Strata experience would be beneficial but not essential.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must have clear, professional, and empathetic communication skills. They should also possess a drive for continuous improvement, strong attention to detail, and full working rights in Australia.
