About the Role

Ventia is seeking an experienced Leasing Manager to join our team in Forrest ACT. As a key member of our leasing operations team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of leasing delivery for our Whole of Australian Government (WoAG) Contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of critical dates and key lease events in line with client requirements and contractual obligations
  • Provide leadership and direction to lease administrators/coordinators
  • Negotiate new leases, lease renewals, options, and market rent reviews to support service delivery requirements
  • Ensure compliance with client approval processes and maintain accurate records on leasing-related services and activities
  • Manage day-to-day leasing tasks and assist the broader team and client with leasing-related queries
  • Accurately interpret lease and associated documents, providing strategic advice and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Liaise with clients and landlords daily to ensure key requirements are met
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including entity personnel, consultants, and internal service delivery teams
  • Facilitate and undertake property inspections when required
  • Promote and lead continuous improvement in all areas of leasing operations

Requirements

  • Australian citizenship
  • Extensive experience (3 years minimum) in property transactions and associated services
  • Collaborative and supportive management style
  • Good understanding of Commonwealth policies, including the PGPA and LAA Act
  • Working knowledge of the Commonwealth Property Management Framework (RMG 500)
  • Experience in property portfolio strategic planning with multiple stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, specifically related to property and real estate-related procurement
  • Current Real Estate License or Certificate of Registration
