The role of Data Insights Lead plays a critical part in shaping our Reporting & Analytics systems. You will partner with key stakeholders and our team to achieve our goals, ingesting various data sources into our centralised reporting hub and transforming this data into repeatable data models that will be used by our dashboards and interactive reports.

You will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our offshore data engineers, ensuring we are delivering quality/robust solutions at speed that will stand the test of time. Your keen eye for detail and experience in delivering quality reporting/analytics solutions will help us decommission old reporting tech and improve our processes.

As a Data Insights Lead, you will work closely with relevant end users and IT teams, including distribution, retail, integration, and people, partnering deliverables as required. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact to Cotton On's IT team and contribute to our organisational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ingesting various data sources into our centralised reporting hub
  • Transforming data into repeatable data models
  • Managing offshore data engineers
  • Improving processes and decommissioning old reporting tech
  • Partnering with stakeholders and end users

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar lead or senior development role
  • Experience in Microsoft Technologies – Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Dev Ops, SQL, SSRS, and Power BI (Service and Desktop)
  • Ability to manage teams and business stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and coach a team
