Our organisation is seeking a skilled legal professional to join our People & Culture team as a Employee Relations Specialist.
This pivotal role involves providing expert legal advice and representation on complex employee relations matters.
As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will work closely with HR professionals to ensure a proactive, compliant, and values-driven approach to workplace relations.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing specialist legal advice on ER matters including performance management, grievances, investigations, disciplinary actions, redundancies, and terminations.
- Representing the organisation in employment litigation, including appearances before courts and tribunals.
- Conducting and overseeing workplace investigations.
- Monitoring legislative and case law developments to ensure contemporary ER practices.
- Supporting the development and implementation of the ER Framework and assurance programs.
- Partnering with stakeholders to manage workplace changes in line with legal obligations.
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring:
- A current unrestricted practising certificate and a minimum of 4 years' post-admission experience in employment law.
- Demonstrated expertise in employment legislation and advocacy experience in relevant courts and tribunals.
- Strong legal research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- The ability to work autonomously and build collaborative relationships across the business.
