Our organization is seeking a strategic operations leader to oversee the efficient functioning of our laboratory. This key role involves coordinating workflow across various areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate workflow for all laboratory areas in collaboration with senior management.
  • Foster effective standard operating procedures, aligning with quality and risk protocols.
  • Maintain adherence to NATA Medical Testing Requirements & ISO 15189 guidelines.
  • Leverage operational knowledge to drive efficiencies, safety, and compliance within budgetary constraints.
  • Develop contingency plans for significant disruptions to our operations.
  • Lead business case development for infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee facilities management activities, including contractor coordination.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of leadership experience in operations and risk management.
  • Previous experience in health services or scientific laboratories, preferably accredited to ISO 15189 and/or ISO 17025.
  • Detailed knowledge of medical testing laboratory accreditation standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with staff at all levels and external stakeholders.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills, with project management expertise.
  • Knowledge of the Ultra (Triple G) computer system and Q-Pulse would be beneficial.
