The successful candidate will have a suitable tertiary qualification in Science, preferably biomedical science, and at least 6 years of experience in a highly automated laboratory.

Key responsibilities include strategic planning, client and resource management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a willingness to travel interstate.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the development, validation, implementation of protocols, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Strategic planning, client and resource management to optimize laboratory performance and support clinical needs
  • Prepare, submit for approval, and implement a detailed annual business plan for the department
  • Manage employee work performance in the department
  • Implementing and complying with all aspects of the WHS Plan
  • Ensure all work practices and procedures comply with NATA/TGA/NPACC regulations
