Position Overview

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences?

Key Responsibilities:
In this newly established role, you will collaborate closely with the Cook, Park Manager, and Group Food and Beverage Manager to uphold the core values of NRMA, emphasizing professionalism, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.

This is a full-time, permanent position that combines front-of-house management with kitchen duties, including cooking and preparation. The on-site café will operate with a split service schedule.

Your main duties will include:

  • Training, developing, and mentoring café staff
  • Preparing and cooking menu items as needed
  • Managing and positively influencing the 'Cost of Sales'
  • Assisting the management team in adhering to departmental budgets
  • Collaborating with the Park Manager and Group Food & Beverage Manager to devise strategic plans for departmental growth
  • Contributing to the design of food and beverage menus in partnership with the Group Food & Beverage Manager, Cook, and Operations Manager
  • Maintaining and nurturing positive relationships with suppliers
  • Ensuring compliance with Liquor Licensing, Food Safety Plans, and Occupational Health and Safety requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in managing or leading roles within a café, restaurant, bar, or kitchen environment
  • Proficiency in cooking and food preparation
  • Knowledge of mixology and barista skills
  • Exceptional guest service abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to lead a diverse team
  • Relevant qualifications in Tourism/Hospitality Management, Commercial Cookery, or similar fields are advantageous
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate is preferred
