Position Overview

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences?

Key Responsibilities:
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the culinary team and management to uphold the core values of professionalism, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that combines front-of-house management with kitchen operations. The café will operate with a split service schedule, providing both breakfast and dinner offerings.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Training, developing, and mentoring café staff
  • Preparing and cooking menu items as needed
  • Managing and optimizing 'Cost of Sales'
  • Supporting the management team in adhering to departmental budgets
  • Partnering with management to devise strategic plans for departmental growth
  • Assisting in the creation of food and beverage menus in collaboration with the culinary team
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers
  • Ensuring compliance with Liquor Licensing, Food Safety Plans, and Occupational Health and Safety regulations

Ultimately, your goal will be to foster a vibrant and positive workplace culture that delivers unforgettable experiences for our guests.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a café, restaurant, bar, or kitchen environment
  • Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation
  • Knowledge of mixology and barista techniques
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills, with the ability to lead a diverse team
  • Relevant qualifications in Hospitality Management or Commercial Cookery are preferred
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol certification is advantageous
