Job Title: Night Shelter Support Worker
">- Provide shelter and support services to individuals in need.
- Assist with resident support plans and service delivery.
- Develop relationships with residents and assist with intakes.
- Perform wellness checks and distribute essential supplies.
Required Skills:
">- Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite knowledge.
- Training in non-violent crisis intervention techniques and harm reduction approach.
- Knowledge of shelter user and resident services and community resources.
- Ability to work independently and show initiative and creativity.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques.
- Ability to work in an intense and challenging environment.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and navigate stairs.
Qualifications:
">- Diploma in a related human/social service field.
- Minimum one year recent related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
