Housing Shelter Support Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Housing/Shelter Support Worker. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting marginalized individuals and providing a safe and welcoming environment.
As a Housing/Shelter Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting residents with all aspects of their support plan development and delivery of services. You will work collaboratively with the Team Lead/Site Supervisor and support team to ensure that residents receive the best possible support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
- Provide counseling and support to residents on a one-to-one basis.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to address resident's needs and goals.
- Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to provide comprehensive support to residents.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to resident's progress and well-being.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A Diploma in a related human/social service field.
- A minimum of one (1) year recent related experience.
- Basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Training in or knowledge of non-violent crisis intervention techniques and harm reduction approach.
Benefits:
As a valued member of our team, you will receive:
- Part-time employment, two 12-hour shifts per week.
- $31.56 to $33.49 per hour, plus 5% in lieu of paid holidays.
