Aboriginal Student Success Advocate

This position is designated for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people under anti-discrimination laws.
The university's student centre for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students provides academic, pastoral and cultural support services to help students achieve their full potential.
You will play a key role in supporting the academic success and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. You will work closely with the director and program manager to drive initiatives focused on student success and work alongside colleagues to manage a high-performing team.
- Support the delivery and continuous improvement of programs and services that promote student success
- Provide guidance and mentoring to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
- Develop and implement tailored learning support initiatives to promote academic progression, retention and completion
- Liaise with other university units to embed culturally responsive policies, procedures and support frameworks for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
- Manage and develop staff to ensure high-quality delivery of academic and student support services
