Job Opportunity

The Aboriginal Health Worker plays a pivotal role in providing culturally responsive support to improve birthing experiences and outcomes for Aboriginal women.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support expectant mothers with antenatal and postnatal care
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure culturally sensitive interactions
  • Maintain strong connections with the local Aboriginal community
Essential Qualifications:
  • Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care Practice or willingness to attain
  • Knowledge of and affinity with the local Aboriginal community
  • Ability to work effectively with Aboriginal women, families, and young children

This position requires recognition of genuine occupational qualifications under NSW legislation. The successful candidate will be an Aboriginal woman who is passionate about promoting health and wellbeing within her community.
