About the Job

The role of Warehouse Assistant is a key position within our team, responsible for coordinating logistics and warehouse functions. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a new warehouse environment with a national company that has exciting plans to grow and expand.

  • Assist the Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate logistics and warehouse functions effectively.
  • Play a vital role in ensuring seamless order processing for customers by picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to offer excellent customer service.
  • Utilize internal systems to fulfill customer orders and manage order processing successfully.
  • Work closely with freight companies to coordinate local, national, and sea-freight transportation, including receiving and dispatching stock.
  • Help resolve any arising warehouse problems or complaints promptly and professionally.
Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar Warehouse Assistant role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proven ability to work on the floor and behind a desk, leading by example.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A valid forklift license.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with solution-driven outcomes.
