Job Overview

This role involves designing and implementing secure network architecture for Operational Technology (OT) environments.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in OT networks, firewall rule configuration, and migration activities.

  • Technical subject matter expert for OT networks and firewall rule configuration.
  • Analyse dataflows to define access requirements and support secure technical design decisions.
  • Produce detailed network and solution design documentation.
  • Validate alignment with security and architectural standards through participation in workshops and technical reviews.
  • Contribute to the development of OT-specific security standards and technical patterns.
  • Support firewall rule optimisation, authentication design, and access control enforcement.

Key Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Cybersecurity or a related field.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, Security+, GSEC, GICSP.
  • 6+ years in Technology roles, with at least 3 years specifically in Cyber Security.
  • Experience in network engineering, including configuration and change management.
  • Proven ability to manage security, identity, and network technologies in highly segmented or isolated environments where availability is critical.
  • Strong hands-on experience with security technologies such as EDR, remote access, HSMs, and application control.
  • Familiarity with control systems (e.g. SCADA, PLCs) and industrial networking principles.
  • Experience deploying and implementing domain and related services in isolated environments (DNS, AD, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop security processes, procedures, and transition-to-operations documentation.
  • Ability to apply broad knowledge of network, infrastructure, and cybersecurity to resolve evolving challenges.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in OT networking protocols and security frameworks.
  • Knowledge of network segmentation, access control, and threat analysis.
  • Understanding of ITIL and ISO27001 best practices.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Fluency in English language and excellent communication skills.
