Job Summary

This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day movements of Rail Traffic and facilitating network access for maintenance activities across the network on a 24/7 basis.

The Network Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with safe working requirements, codes of practice, procedures, and processes. Key responsibilities include planning anticipated running of all trains and track work to avoid conflicts and ensure compliance with train and other notices concerning alterations and additions to signalling, safe working equipment, and rolling stock.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong ability to plan, prioritise, and coordinate work activities in a dynamic operational environment. You will also be required to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to operate complex systems and technology.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • A current driving license
  • CERT IV in Rail Operations or the ability to attain it
  • Qualification in safeworking rules and procedures
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
