Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to provide daily guidance to the Gateway team members to meet routine security obligations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in network security, with experience working within a Gateway environment.

The specialist will be responsible for monitoring network data streams and event log data to ensure that gateway operations are optimized and maintained. They will also improve vulnerability management, ensuring that all vulnerabilities to the network are identified and treated in accordance with set guidelines.

In addition, the specialist will ensure that service availability meets or exceeds customer service availability guidelines. They will maintain agreed security records and documentation, investigate identified security breaches in accordance with established procedures, and recommend any required actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor network data streams and event log data to ensure that gateway operations are optimized and maintained.
  • Improve Perform Vulnerability Management to ensure that all vulnerabilities to the network are identified and treated in accordance with set guidelines.
  • Ensure that service availability meets or exceeds customer service availability guidelines.
  • Maintains agreed security records and documentation.
  • Investigates identified security breaches in accordance with established procedures and recommends any required actions.
About You
  • You will need to have AGSVA Security Clearance.
  • You should have network experience, preferably switches, routers, SNAT/NAT, Firewall experience preferably a mixtures of Stateful and Layer 7 Firewalls.
  • You will require Proxy experience Solaris or Linux/Unix experience understanding of commands and concepts is required.
  • You must have Mail experience understanding the setup and maintenance of Servers and clients.
  • You will be expected to troubleshoot experience - the ability to perform root cause analysis on network/computer issues on clients, servers and network equipment.
  • You should have a general understanding of Computer/Network Security Policies and enforcement Load Balancing experience.
  • You will be required to configure and support Apache Experience in supporting a DNS environment Experience in supporting Windows Server and associated domains.
  • You should have General scripting skills Shell, Perl, etc.
