OT Cyber Security Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Operational Technology (OT) Cyber Security Expert to join our team. As an OT Cyber Security Engineer, you will work closely with stakeholders to design, configure, and deploy cyber security controls and solutions that align with organisational standards and industry best practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert for OT networks, firewall rule configuration, and migration activities.
  • Analyse and document dataflows to define access requirements and support secure technical design decisions.
  • Produce detailed network and solution design documentation.
  • Participate in workshops and technical reviews to validate alignment with security and architectural standards.
  • Contribute to the development of OT-specific security standards and technical patterns.
  • Support firewall rule optimisation, authentication design, and access control enforcement.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, Security+, GSEC, GICSP.
  • At least 6 years of experience in Technology roles, with at least 3 years specifically in Cyber Security.
  • Experience in network engineering, including configuration and change management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with security technologies such as EDR, remote access, HSMs, and application control.
  • Familiarity with control systems (e.g. SCADA, PLCs) and industrial networking principles.
  • Ability to apply broad knowledge of network, infrastructure, and cybersecurity to resolve evolving challenges.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
