Job Opportunity: Compensation Expert

We are seeking an experienced leader in the payroll and remuneration space to lead our Payroll team.


The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current legislation, developments, and trends in payroll, as well as experience working with contemporary HRIS and payroll systems and software.


This role involves overseeing end-to-end payroll services, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, and managing the job evaluation process to ensure position gradings are consistent.


The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and implementing internal controls, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with payroll, superannuation, and taxation-related legislation.


In addition to technical skills and qualifications, we are looking for a candidate who can develop positive working relationships with employees across all levels of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll services, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage the job evaluation process, ensuring position gradings are consistent.
  • Develop and implement internal controls, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance.
  • Coach, evaluate, and monitor the Payroll team's performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' payroll experience in a large and complex organization.
  • Demonstrated experience working with contemporary HRIS and payroll systems and software.
  • Certification and experience in job evaluation processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
