Expert Workplace Injury Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Injury Specialist to deliver exceptional injury management services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire claims process, from initial assessment to resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Management of workplace injury aspects of all Workers Compensation claims and collaboration with stakeholders throughout the claim lifecycle.
- Development of strategic injury management plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Continuous monitoring of allied health treatment on claims, including liaison with service providers and review of all treatment requests.
- Monitoring of workplace rehabilitation providers, including liaison with service providers, development of goals and strategic plans.
- Accurate decision making in line with relevant legislation and policy wordings.
- Delivery of education and mentoring services to member organisations.
- Provision of regular industry news and information to member organisations to facilitate proactive management of workplace risks and compliance with legislative requirements.
- Updating of information on the LGIS website, E-Bulletins, publications and other communication channels to raise awareness of injury management best practices.
- Project management, working closely with senior injury management specialists to develop initiatives to improve claims outcomes.
- Formal tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Psychology.
- Minimum 1 year clinical or workplace rehabilitation experience or recent graduate.
- Passion for making a positive impact on people's lives.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Strong computer literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
- Willingness to travel across WA to support local governments, supported by a current WA driver's license.
