ADF Rehabilitation Consultant

A highly skilled team of experts in workplace health, injury management and safety delivers top-notch services across personal injury and occupational health.

Our specialists focus on recovery and function to help clients return to work and life, regardless of age, stage or situation. We provide services through federal and state-based Workers Compensation schemes and Life Insurance policies.

  • We take a holistic care approach, working within a multidisciplinary team to support the rehabilitation journey from rehab to healing.
  • Perform assessments based on your area of clinical expertise, including functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including employees who have suffered injury, illness or trauma, medical specialists and other treatment providers.
  • Work across ADF and DVA portfolios, supporting our veterans and current ADF members.
Key Responsibilities

Based at HMAS Stirling in Garden Island, you will enjoy a unique and exciting work environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Current unrestricted registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g. AHPRA, ESSA).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Osteopathy, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Psychology or Social Work.
  • Clinical reasoning skills to inform decision-making.
  • Ability to engage effectively across multidisciplinary teams to achieve common goals.
  • Passion for helping people rehabilitate.
  • 12 months' registered work experience in your qualified health profession.
  • Occupational Rehabilitation experience is highly valued.
  • Ability to work on base between 07:30 - 15:30 Monday to Friday.
