About the Opportunity

This is an exceptional chance for a seasoned investigator to contribute to our Fraud Investigations team.

As a key member, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of investigations into suspected non-genuine or fraudulent claims, non-disclosure/misrepresentation and policy breaches. You will collaborate closely with the National Investigations Manager and the Fraud Analysts to minimize QBE's fraud exposure across claims.

  • Analyzing suspicious general insurance (GI) and people risk claims for potential fraud
  • Managing high volumes of investigation referrals in compliance with industry standards, best practices, customer service protocols, and data protection requirements
  • Conducting thorough investigations, including interviews, into suspected non-genuine or fraudulent claims, non-disclosure/misrepresentation and policy breaches focusing on best practices and evidence collection to derive claim outcomes
  • Crafting and implementing strategies to instruct external investigative service providers for effective cost management and efficient services
  • Providing strategic guidance on investigations and claim analysis
  • Detecting instances of fraud and factual anomalies in a timely manner through data interpretation and analysis
  • Implementing targeted actions to combat fraud/high risk exposure
  • Contributing to process refinement to enhance fraud analysis and procedures
  • Able to adapt to evolving legislative and industry changes
  • Excellent planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks
About You
  • Possesses extensive experience in managing claims in the general insurance sector
  • Law enforcement or Insurance Investigation background highly valued
  • Demonstrated analytical focus and attention to detail
  • Strong time management and ability to handle high work volumes and case loads
  • Able to strategize investigations and evidence collection to inform claim decisions and outcomes
