About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WHS Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a WHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Management: Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Amazon's global safety standards.
  • Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Incident Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Communication: Communicate health and safety information to employees and contractors through regular updates and training sessions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance the health and safety of our employees and contractors.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in a WHS-related field.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and experience with Microsoft Word.
