Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking a full-time WHS Specialist to serve as a designated safety professional for assigned AMZL sites. The successful candidate will coordinate and implement all areas of the Amazon Global Safety Program as directed by safety leadership.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits to identify compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate incident investigation process and maintain required paperwork to comply with Amazon and local regulations.
  • Enter Safety Incident Information in internal database in a timely manner.
  • Perform safety observations & audits and train others to complete their safety responsibilities.
  • Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Ability to communicate health and safety needs to all levels of the organization.
  • Calm demeanor in emergency situations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience using Microsoft Word in a professional capacity.
  • Certificate IV in WHS or a related field of study.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in emergency response.
  • Experience in worker's compensation case management.
  • 1+ years of workplace health & safety (WHS) related field experience.
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security or personnel issues in the workplace.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
