As a Workplace Health and Safety Specialist at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in promoting a positive safety culture on site, ensuring compliance with Amazon's Global Safety Program and local and regional laws and regulations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits to identify compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate incident investigation processes and maintain accurate safety incident information.
- Perform safety observations, audits, and targeted training to upskill teams on safety responsibilities.
- Collaborate with site operations teams and the WHS manager to execute company policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Participate in process improvement activities and drive actions to completion.
- Support the development of the WHS Management System, procedures, training materials, and inspection programs.
- May have additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or other safety-related activities depending on the business unit and location.

Requirements**Basic Qualifications:**
- Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security or personnel issues in the workplace.
- Experience in workplace health & safety (WHS) related field.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in emergency response.
- Experience in worker's compensation case management.
- Experience using Microsoft Word in a professional capacity.
- Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety related field.
