We are currently in search of a skilled Avionics/Electrical Engineer to support the development of aircraft modifications. This position entails collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, conducting technical evaluations, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development, review, and approval of various aircraft Avionics/Electrical and/or Electronic System modifications
  • Exercising Engineering Authority as a Design Engineer within the Military Design Organisation
  • Implementing Systems Engineering processes throughout the product lifecycle
  • Coordinating project management activities
  • Overseeing and reviewing the work of fellow engineers
  • Investigating and addressing engineering compliance matters

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant Engineering Degree (Avionics, Electrical, Mechatronics) or equivalent
  • Eligibility for RPEQ registration
  • Experience within the Defence/Aviation sector
  • Familiarity with configuration management and certification principles

Desired Qualifications:

  • Chartered Engineer status through Engineers Australia or a similar body
  • Experience with Systems Engineering processes
  • Prior involvement in avionics modifications/upgrades
  • Project Management/Engineering experience
