In the role of Senior Avionics Engineer at Northrop Grumman, your primary responsibilities will include the enhancement of avionics and electrical systems for aircraft, as well as overseeing design, certification, and technical support activities. This position also offers the chance to guide and develop junior engineers, evaluate engineering projects, and apply engineering methodologies to tackle intricate challenges.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation, assessment, and endorsement of various avionics and electrical system modifications for aircraft
  • Act as Engineering Authority as a Compliance Verification Engineer in accordance with aviation standards
  • Utilization of Systems Engineering methodologies
  • Facilitate coordination and assistance to project management teams
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders and represent the engineering team in discussions
  • Supervise and review the work of less experienced engineers


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Avionics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics
  • Professional Engineering experience within the aviation sector
  • Familiarity with aviation regulations and Design Change Management processes
  • Australian citizenship with eligibility for Defense security clearance
