Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Avionics Engineer to join our team in Springfield Central, Queensland, or Richmond, New South Wales. As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development of avionics/electrical modifications to aircraft through design, certification, and other technical support processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, review, and approve various aircraft avionics/electrical and/or electronic system modifications, including all supporting documentation, within the scope and level of delegated engineering authority assigned under Part 21 MDO and/or Part M CAM Services.
  • Hold Engineering Authority (EA) as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) under DASR Part 21J to authorize minor changes to type design & repairs and compliance check of major designs in support of DASA approval.
  • Apply Systems Engineering processes across the product lifecycle.
  • Provide coordination and support to project management of tasks through the design development and installation phases.
  • Provide advice to internal/external stakeholders and representing the team on specific projects, technical issues, and in various intra-/inter-organisational meetings as required.
  • Provide oversight and review work of junior engineers for technical accuracy, adequacy, and quality.
Requirements
  • Relevant engineering degree (Avionics/Electrical/Mechatronics).
  • Experience as a Professional Engineer in the aviation industry.
  • Working knowledge of CASA/DASA/EASA regulations.
  • Understanding of Configuration Control and Design Change Management.
  • Must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance.
