We are currently in search of a skilled Avionics/Electrical Engineer to support the advancement of aircraft modifications. This position entails collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, performing technical assessments, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development, Review, and Endorsement of various aircraft Avionics / Electrical and/or Electronic System Modifications
  • Exercising Engineering Authority as a Design Engineer within NGA's Military Design Organisation
  • Implementing Systems Engineering methodologies throughout the product lifecycle
  • Coordinating project management activities
  • Overseeing and evaluating the work of fellow engineers
  • Investigating and addressing engineering compliance matters

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant Engineering Degree (Avionics, Electrical, Mechatronics) or equivalent
  • Eligibility for RPEQ registration
  • Experience within the Defence/Aviation sector
  • Proficient understanding of configuration management and certification principles

Desired Qualifications:

  • Chartered Engineer status through Engineers Australia or equivalent
  • Experience with Systems Engineering processes
  • Prior experience in avionics modifications/upgrades implementation
  • Project Management/Engineering background
