Job Title

The role of a Postal Services Officer is a vital one, as it involves providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of postal services at HMAS Cerberus.

This full-time position requires the ability to work well in a team environment, build collaborative relationships with customers, and maintain high accuracy and compliance in all transactions.

  • Perform sales and service transactions with efficiency and courtesy.
  • Promote and process financial agency transactions through Australia Post's technology systems.
  • Conduct and process identity services transactions with high accuracy and compliance.
  • Assess mail items for lodgement and apply applicable charges accurately.
  • Prepare outward mail for dispatch, ensuring correct presentation and cancellation of stamps.
  • Open and close the business, providing end-of-day reporting.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance.
Requirements
  • Australia Post Workforce ID.
  • Excellent working experience and knowledge of post office procedures.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Highly developed face-to-face customer service and communication skills.
  • Reliability and ability to work well in a team environment.
