Learning Specialist Role

We are seeking a Learning Specialist to contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum and pedagogical practices that promote student learning and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model exemplary teaching practice, including the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills across the curriculum.
  • Implement high-impact teaching strategies that respond to student learning needs and support teachers in evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
  • Monitor and assess student learning, provide feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents, and support others in using data to inform teaching practice.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and the wider community, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of relevant curriculum and ability to model exemplary teaching practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to engage in collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, and the wider community.

About Our School:

The school is a brand-new secondary school in Melbourne's western suburbs, catering for the diversity of learners. The school will add an additional year 7 cohort each year until 2029 when it will become a 7-12 school.
